Biography of Father Constantine (Dean) Katsilas
Fr. Dean grew up in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, and earned a BS degree in Biology from Penn State University in 1974, a MS degree in Environmental Biology in 1980 from the State University of New York, and earned his MA degree in Applied Orthodox Theology from Balamand University (Lebanon) in 2005.
He graduated from the late vocation program. He was ordained to the diaconate of the Orthodox Church in America, in February 2004, and was assigned to St. Raphael of Brooklyn Mission Orthodox Church in Detroit.
On January 1, 2007, he was ordained to the priesthood by His Grace, Bishop Seraphim, and assigned as the full time rector of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church in Windsor.
Fr. Dean and his wife, Patricia, have been residents of Windsor, since 1991, emigrating from the United States to start a Zee Medical Service distributorship, which they currently own and operate.
